EVANGELISM
“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.” -1 Peter 3:15–16
As Christians, we have the highest hope of any people - complete forgiveness of all our sins and eternal life with God forever in Heaven. As the Holy Spirit dwells within us, He imparts gifts - His fruit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). As those in the world see this fruit, they wonder why and how it can exist, and we need to be ready to respond.
The purpose of First English Lutheran Church is to prepare the body of Christ to share their faith by providing tools and information to respond to those in need. Those in darkness should see that Light of Christ reflected through His disciples, as He commanded.
